Langra Mango

Langra Mango

Welcome to Siya Agri Exports LLP, your source for the most aromatic and unique mango variety from North India-the Langra. Originating from the holy city of Varanasi (Banaras), this mango is a cult favourite among those who prefer a complex, “zingy” sweetness over the simple sugary taste of other varieties.
The defining characteristic of Langra is that it retains its Green Skin colour even when it is fully ripe and ready to eat. Inside, the flesh is a pale lemon-yellow, exceptionally soft, melting, and juicy. It possesses a distinctively strong, pleasant “terpeney” aroma that lingers in the mouth long after eating. It is widely known as “Malda” in West Bengal and Bihar, where it is considered superior to Alphonso.

Most international buyers think “Green = Unripe.”

• Banarasi Origin

The soil of Varanasi gives Langra its unique “terpeney” flavor note.

Our Guarantee: We source directly from orchards in Uttar Pradesh to guarantee that authentic “Banarasi” taste that North Indian expats crave.

• Applications & Uses

Table Fruit: Eaten fresh by slicing. Ideally chilled before serving to enhance its refreshing, lime-like floral notes.

Desserts: Used in traditional Indian desserts like Rabri and Kheer because its strong flavor cuts through the richness of milk.

• Logistics & Packaging

Langra has a very thin skin and is highly perishable.

Our Solution: We strictly export this variety via Air Cargo to London, Dubai, or Singapore to ensure it reaches the consumer while still firm and fresh, using robust 3 kg or 5 kg corrugated ply boxes.
